Thinking with Chris Christian Vol. 46
Introduction

God took something from a man to accomplish whatever He accomplished on earth. If the Lion will build a tabernacle, He will take something from a man to do it. If God wants to build a house, a man must provide for Him the value He will depend on to build the house because the earth belongs to man. However, not every man can produce God. The way to end frustration is to estimate your destiny by your value. Moreover, don’t separate your contribution from whatever God will do for you because that is the beginning of frustration.

The tabernacle of the Lion in the midst of men talks about a human house. God will never live on earth. If we want God to come to the earth, men should produce a man who is like God. The tabernacle of God is talking about a human house. The Lion of Judah is talking about Judah producing a man who should live like God on earth, not the heavenly Lion coming down to the earth. From Matthew’s account of the birth of Jesus, Matthew said that He was born ‘Jesus’ while Luke said that He was born ‘Christ’. Both are right. The Baby Jesus who cried in the manger was also Christ. Christ was produced by a woman. The Jews are spiritually sound, too awesome and focused which was why they could produce a body for Christ.

The Jews knew that the messianism of the suffering Servant could not come from heaven; they contributed their time and lives. They fasted and prayed for it. All the efforts that brought Jesus were the efforts of men, not of God. A widow lost her husband and went to the temple to spend another sixty years of her life praying and waiting for the redemption of Israel. People like Anna, Simon and other Old Testament patriarchs like Moses, Isaiah, Micah, Jeremiah and some others sacrificed their lives and time and Jesus was born. Anyone who calls the product of human sacrifice the act of God needs pity.

In John 1:13, the Bible says, “13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

The misinterpretation of the scripture above was where the Church was deceived. Jesus came by the will of men. It is by your will that you go to school and study to pass your exam. Whatever developed did so by the will of men. The family of Judah invested everything they had to process a Messiah for God to use. Do you know what it means for a woman to forget everything and retire to the temple at a young age? The widow could have started a business or remarried. Some people come to Church and present several prayer points; but she kept telling God one thing for years; something that did not even concern her while some people are so burdened by their selfish desires.

Selfishness makes people ordinary. Anytime such people go before God, they only tell God about their immediate needs. It is not possible to reign through selfishness. Whatever God will accomplish on earth is determined by what He got from men, not what He gave men. Don’t build your life on what God will give you; rather, build your life on what you can give to God. Ask God what your life can build; this is the only way to avoid frustration. Those who get frustrated are those who believe that God has not done enough for them. Even the blessing that they are asking for, it is still what men kept that God will depend on to bless them. But sacrifice cannot be deeply understood by people who don’t have value. There is no deep revelation without sacrifice. God cannot reveal deep truths to ordinary people. Whatever is happening for the people you admire is not happening by luck; someone paid for it.
