Taking Your Life Assignment in Stages
Introduction

Understanding what to do and when to do them attracts enduring success.Understanding what to do and when to do them attracts enduring success.ime is a creation of God that prevents everything from happening at once. It is also a creation of God that determines when things happen. There is time for everything. Men like Jesus who accomplished great exploits on earth took their life assignment in stages. Taking our life’s assignment in stages averts mishaps and provides us with steps that will enable us to get to where we are going. Understanding what to do and when to do them attracts enduring success. Knowing when to run and the time to sit down brings men on top of their situation. The messianic ministry of Jesus achieved an eternal purpose because He allowed the nature of His assignment to determine His steps. For instance, for those in ministry, the time of growth and preparation should not be a time to seek power to do miracles and accomplish wonders. There is time for every purpose under the sun.

I have studied the unique messianic ministry of Jesus closely for about 30years. I have also paid attention to the unique assignments of great prophets like Moses and Elijah. The lessons I gleaned from their astounding achievements is what prompted the writing of this book. The surging measure of confusion and chaos that is going on in the Church particularly in the Pentecostal world also inspired me to write this book. It is wrong to seek manifestation when we should serve and be patient. People who are not properly raised and seasoned should not desire to wear the crown of oil. No wonder there is abortion of purposes and frustration among ministers. The most important time in any building is the foundation-laying time. What God will accomplish through us is controlled by the foundation we lay.

Although the messianic ministry of Jesus is very unique and peculiar, we have so much to learn from it. Having the understanding of His ministry greatly inspired Jesus. Jesus was also protected because the Spirit of understanding taught Him what to do and when to do them. He took 30years to prepare for a ministry that lasted just about 31/2years. There are so much to learn from this pattern. Our life assignments finished in preparation. Preparation determines how far we will go in ministry. Moses spent 80years in preparing for his life assignment. Preparing for his prophetic/confrontational ministry took the whole life of Elijah. Elijah manifested on the ministerial scene at old age. Getting ready for our life assignments is far more important than the assignment itself because that is what determines the accomplishment of the assignment. The way men handle the early stage of their life and ministry predicts whether they will finish well or not. Apostle Paul was chosen from the midst of the prophets and teachers at Antioch Church to accomplish an apostolic ministry. That particular foundation was responsible for his success in his apostolic work. The life, preparation, experience and all that took place determined his ministerial crown. Failure will be inevitable if we build our lives on a ministerial foundation that is not properly laid.

Souls of sinners are perishing but you must not run out. If you run out to help sinners without adequate preparation, you may be victimized. The waiting time is always the best time in the life of ministers. The It is what God achieves in us that determines what He will depend on us to achieve in others. It is what God achieves in us that determines what He will depend on us to achieve in others.period of waiting is always the best season in the life of every man. It is what God achieves in us that determines what He will depend on us to achieve in others. Becoming is far more important than doing. What we become introduces the value of our inner man. It was important for the man Jesus to become one with Christ before starting His ministry because the assignment He had was the assignment of Christ.
