Sharing in God’s Sensibility
Introduction
One of the outstanding features that declares the Omnipotence of God is His sensibility. God knows who He is and the infiniteness of His power. To be sensible is to show good judgment. God is very sensible and wants all who are born of His Spirit to share in His sensibility. God knows everything He desires to know because He knows who He is. Those who are actually senseless can’t be part of God. God relates with Himself and everything He created from His spiritual sense organs. Because of God’s sensibility, nothing can be hidden from Him. God can’t be deceived because He knows the end from the beginning.
It is not possible for God to die because He hides in the light of His senses. It is the sensibility of God that introduces Him to everything He created. God created Himself from the light of His senses. The light of God’s sensibility is overwhelming and unapproachable. God is omnipotent because of the kind of sense He has and how He uses it.
God is all-knowing because He is first self-knowing. He has ability to relate with things the way they are because He has ability to separate them. The major problem of senseless people is ignorance. God relates with men from the knowledge of Himself. God is not always discouraged because people can’t actually surprise Him. The way we relate with Him must be controlled by what we know about Him and ourselves.
God introduces Himself to men from within themselves. This is why all who found God first of all found themselves. If you don’t know who you are, you can’t know God. Introducing God to men from outside will only make them religious people and when the spirit of religion prevents men from seeking themselves, it kills them. Men only find God when they seek themselves. It is through sensibility that men declare their immortality.
Darkness is the only hiding place of light. All who enjoyed the glory of God’s light look for it in darkness. What men have power to see connects them to the strength of God. God raised Jesus from the dark dominion of Galilee because He knew that Jesus’ kind of overwhelming light can only be harvested from the thickest darkness. When Jesus was born as a tender plant from a dry ground, He depended on the strength of His sensibility to rise to the top. God specializes in raising beggars from the dust but it is only sensible beggars that can be raised.
Things are not usually the way they first appear. This is why future belongs to seekers. We must learn to be patient with things as we ask necessary questions about issues that concern us. To give gifts to a Messiah who was found in the midst of animals will take a high level of sensibility.
