Relevant Leaders of the Last Millennium
Introduction
Destinies of generations are ruined when blind leaders stand in front of new seasons to declare them. Ability to see is one of the capital values that makes a relevant leader. Falling into a ditch can’t be avoided when blind leaders lead the blind. If we must be relevant leaders in the last millennium, we are expected to know what the millennium is all about. Knowing what the millennium is all about should help leaders to know what they ought to do. The children of Issachar were reputable leaders in Israel because they had the understanding of time to know what Israel ought to do. Having a blind and ignorant leader in front of a people ruins the destiny of the people. God depended on Jesus to introduce the dispensation of Grace because He knew what the age was all about. The destiny of the Church was built on the rock of Peter’s revelation because of the need to preserve it. Those who are ignorant of what the destiny of this age is all about must not be given leadership mantle. Jesus called the Pharisees, blind leaders of the blind because they were busy forcing the principles of the Law upon people in the dispensation of Grace. Not having access to the mysteries of Christ disqualified them from leadership.
God commits the destiny of the people to their leaders. God depends on leaders to give His people destiny. Understanding the nature of this millennium is one of the factors that qualifies people to lead. What made Apostle Paul unique and prodigious in the dispensation of Grace was his deep insight into the mysteries of Christ. What God will use us to accomplish in a particular age is controlled by what we know about the age. Having access to the relevant revelations of this season will attract the support and favour of God to the relevant leaders. Being alive in a season without knowing what the season is all about separates men from the season. God couldn’t continue with the leaders of the Law at the time of Grace. Not having access to the mysteries of Christ in the dispensation of Grace declared the Pharisees blind and sinful. It also separated them from God. Likewise, Church leaders who don’t have access to the revelations of the kingdom age will be rejected by the Lion of Judah. The guardian angel of any age will never be part of any man who doesn’t have access to the relevant revelations of that age. Leadership is not meant for blind, ignorant and confused people.
God relates with His people through their leaders. He told Moses that He will go with him to rescue the people of Israel from the hand of taskmasters. God produced a god from Moses before sending him to Egypt because of the enormous task that was before him. The destiny of the people of the Law was committed into the hand of Moses the Law-giver. I wonder what would have happened if the work of spiritual intelligence and revelation accomplished by Apostle Paul was missing in the Bible. We must not take the grace of God in vain in this risky season. We must allow God to depend on us to introduce the next generation to their individual destinies. The coming of the Lion of Judah can only be possible because of all that God accomplished through the Lamb. This dispensation which is shrouded in Vengeance is waiting to be introduced by those who have what it will take to introduce it. The mantle of leadership is not meant for the novice.
The presence of God in the lives of men is sustained by revelation. The presence of God in the lives of men is sustained by revelation. Before Jesus ascended into heaven, He committed the Church into the hand of Peter. The trust Jesus had on Peter was built on the revelation of Peter. It was not possible to separate the leadership of the Church from the rock of Peter’s revelation. God will never hand over His people to charlatans who don’t really care about the people. The preparation of the heart that gives leaders access to the hidden secrets of God is what makes them relevant in a season. Revelation empowered Peter to have command over the disciples of Jesus. Peter’s resolution to follow Jesus was made flinty by all he knew about Jesus. Leaders are expected to build their faith on revelation. Revelation is both life and destiny. Those who have access to the deep things of God can’t deny it. The presence of God in the lives of men is sustained by revelation. Revelation shields leaders from the spells of discouragement and weariness. Jesus handed over the leadership of the Church to Peter because He knew the courage and astuteness of revelation. It is not always difficult to follow leaders who know the way.
