God Doesn't Place Limits (Inspiring Lessons on Dominion)
Introduction
Any life that is not complicated can’t exercise certain measures of dominion. Jesus is complicated in nature, so He conquered death and satan. It wasn’t possible for the grave to keep Jesus because He was complicated. Swords are wielded by revelation. It is meant for highly valuable lives because men cannot command spirits. After God has incarnated a spirit, the spirit will incarnate a man that can introduce Him. The basic function of an incarnate spirit is to speak the mind of God in chosen seasons. But the mind of God cannot be spoken until swords are wielded. Wielding is necessary because it is achieved by light and it is in the wielding that dominion is achieved. Jesus knew that God will not give dominion to Him except through Christ, so He wielded the sword of Christ.
Dominion is a function of safety. Only those who are saved can have dominion. What is not preserved cannot have dominion for a long time. God will never measure dominion in prayer. He measures dominion by the sword of the word. The transformational process that produces a son from a child is very precious in the sight of God. That transformational process is what qualifies us for rule. Dominion makes a demand on size and nature. Jesus came as Christ to enhance the sizes of men. The difference between the Lion and the Lamb is size, nature, and character. God cannot give a Lamb the dominion that belongs to a Lion's character and nature. Dominion is not permanent; it makes demand on continuous ability to keep what you take. All who have dominion took time to go to the deep. Whatever is established in the deep will remain on the top of the mountains.
Also, dominion is measured in travail, not in having things. When God wants to give dominion, He weighs the strength of travailers. If people don’t meet God in men, they will be wounded by religion. If dominion is not measured, it can’t be trusted. God does not give mere men tangible dominion. Having dominion from sea to sea is not a prophecy God should accomplish, it is a prophecy a man should accomplish in God’s form. God will never have dominion on earth without man. What exercises dominion on earth is the perfect mingling of man with God. God prefers us housing Him than us calling on Him. The dominion Jesus accomplished wasn’t His own; it was the dominion of Christ. Every man is on earth not to establish his dominion, but the dominion of his God and it is what we get from that God that determines what we make of the dominion. John was killed because of his inability to keep God. The clothing of the humanity of man by the divinity of God is the greatest honour of the divine on humanity. It is not possible to have dominion without impartation. When someone who is supposed to be imparted is not imparted, the person is denied dominion.
However, in the days of dominion, God considers our thoughts, which is why He introduces ideologies. Only those who are like God can exercise dominion for Him. Jesus exercised the dominion of Christ. The Prime Minister in Egypt was not actually Joseph. That dominion belonged to the dreaming spirit in Joseph. But as Joseph conformed to the nature of that spirit, he exercised the dominion of the spirit. God measures dominion in spirits. The dominion of Moses is the dominion of the Law. It was a dominion God measured in Himself, not the dominion He gave to man. When you want to exercise a dominion that belongs to a spirit, you must look like the spirit. When Moses became a god, he became the guardian angel of the dominion scope of the Spirit of the Law. God subjects men to pain before dominion.
More so, God exercises dominion on earth from the spirits in men. Buying the land of Egypt and the Egyptians was not only God’s act; it was the combination of the act of God and the act of Joseph. There was a capacity in Joseph to buy the land of the Egyptians and give it to Pharaoh and that capacity had to do with Joseph's spirit. The spirit of Joseph was what preserved him to have high-quality human value. The dominion of every man is already measured by the spirit in the man, not by the man. There is nothing as powerful as understanding the spirit in you which is the real you and also know that there is nothing you can do to widen the scope of the spirit in men There are different kinds of dominion for different spirits. Spirits in their capacities cannot have dominion on earth.
In conclusion, if you exercise the dominion of the spirit in you, then it is the spirit you represent. The dominion God gave Moses was measured by the Spirit of the Law. Every spirit that functions on earth functions from a measured dominion. Don’t compromise the nature of the spirit in men because God will never function beyond the scope of the dominion of a spirit. How far God will take us for dominion is controlled by what He gets from us. It is not a function of prayer; it is a function of transformation. If a spirit wants to use you for great dominion, the spirit will produce a high value from you. The demand God makes on you is determined by the spirit in you and that demand is what determines the scope of your dominion. Dominion makes demand on clear vision.
As you turn the pages of this book, may you be empowered to break every self-imposed limit and manifest fully the dominion that God has already placed within your reach.
There are certain measures of dominion lives that are not complicated can’t have.
In John 10:17-18, the Bible says, “17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. 18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.”
In John 7:32-35, the Bible says, “32 The Pharisees heard that the people murmured such things concerning him; and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take him. 33 Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me. 34 Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come. 35 Then said the Jews among themselves, Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles?”
You cannot kill a spirit you cannot track down in its path. Death is spiritual. No one dies physically until he first dies spiritually.
In John 10:30-33, the Bible says, “30 I and my Father are one. 31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. 32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? 33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.”
