Bloodline
Introduction
God cares about where we came from. Because He is a perfect record-keeper, He also cares about what happened in the past. God forges our destinies from what the past provided for Him. Even in the days of miracles and divine intervention, God waits for the rock from where we were hewn to speak for us. The reason why it is very important for us to look closely at the past is because it will always help us to interpret the future. We must receive grace to study history because stories repeat themselves. Branches of trees live from their root. It is with what a particular root provides that God feeds its branches. We are not meant to be separated from our root because we are all offshoots of our root. Therefore, understanding the revelation that this book provides empowers us to know what to look for in ourselves. It also points us to what direction we are expected to follow in life and destiny. Whatever God will do for us is in response to what we provided for Him. To deny our source is to deny life itself.
God couldn’t continue to tolerate the leadership of King Saul because of the promises that were made to the lineage of Judah. Jacob while blessing his children committed scepter and authority to Judah. He decided that it is Judah that his brethren will praise and unto him shall the gathering of his people be till Shiloh comes. To fulfill this particular promise that must not fail, God replaced King Saul with David. We are not free to be anything we want. We are not also free to live the way that seems good to us. Every lineage has a story and every life has a purpose and destiny. When we put our legs on a particular past, we apprehend a particular future looking at the present.
The reason why Jesus Christ was successful in His super controversial messianic ministry was because He was mindful of His bloodline. Before He was born, angel Gabriel declared His purpose to His mother. Gabriel told Mary of the need for a stem to come out of David to establish a throne and a kingdom. The messianic crown Jesus wore emanated from His bloodline. Because of the sovereign strength of God, sometimes He raises people from odd backgrounds but He still leans on what those individuals provided for Him to achieve it. When He separated Abraham from the Chaldeans, He leaned on his foresight, faith and sacrifice to make him the father of all nations. God doesn’t ignore His divine deposits in men irrespective of their bloodline. When He saw great endowments in Rahab, Ruth and Job, He used them tremendously.
Nevertheless, the glory of every bloodline is in the kind of seeds it produces. God preserves the legacy of bloodlines through what He gets from their seeds. What we invest to upgrade or redeem our bloodline is what we keep for ourselves. The tomorrow we expect derives its destiny from the past. If the past is meant to introduce the future, we must be careful about how we invest our lives. Crowns are worn by those who have its life. It will take having the life of a particular character to be able to produce the character. Royal blood speaks in the character of kings. To be born again is to be injected with the royal blood of God.
You are alive because both God and the bloodline you represent need you. The deposit of God in you which was quarried from your bloodline needs to be harvested to advance the destiny of the bloodline. However, God commits the destiny of every bloodline into the hands of those who can see it. What God will achieve in a particular bloodline is controlled by what the seeds of the bloodline provided for Him. It is also what men provided for God that controls what He achieves on earth. Because we are meant to relate with God through what we produce from ourselves, those who neglect themselves are disconnected from God.
The reason why Jesus Christ came to the earth was to introduce us to the royal bloodline of God. No matter how evil or valueless your bloodline is, connecting to Jesus Christ will introduce you to God’s bloodline and give you an adorable destiny.
I decided to write this book because of the healing the mentality of the Church needs. Being in Christ doesn’t deny where we came from; it helps us to maximize the harvest of God’s deposits in us.
Make it a must read!
