UNDERSTANDING THE ACT OF SELF-MINING AND EXPLORATION
INTRODUCTION
There is a many-sided, complicated ability of God in you that bears your future, which must be discovered and explored. God interprets Himself in us through His ability. Everyone alive has this ability. It is this ability that establishes the relationship between God and man. This ability in us wears both our face and God’s face. Our destiny can only be interpreted through the manifestation of this ability. This ability is complicated because it is many-sided. The pot of oil in 2 Kings Chapter 4 verses 2 represents the ability of God which the woman is expected to mine and pay her debts. This widow was trapped in debts because she neglected her source of financial liberty. The resources of our lives is always more sufficient than looming challenges. After Elisha told the widow what to do, the oil multiplied and stayed. She sold the vessels of the oil and paid her debt and still had some left-over. God wants us to discover His ability in us, mine, and explore it. There is always an ability that must introduce us to God; those who didn’t discover theirs can’t be introduced to God. Those with undiscovered abilities can’t neither mine nor explore themselves. When the ability of God in us is neglected, the miracle of prosperity is delayed.
There are six lessons to learn from the experience of the indebted widow in 2 Kings 4:1-7; one, the widow had a pot of oil that she neglected; two, this pot of oil bore her financial freedom; three, the widow was blind to what she is expected to do to pay her debt. From the passage, we know that Elisha didn’t pray for the widow, he just opened her eyes to what she must do to enjoy financial freedom; four, what the woman needed to enjoy financial freedom was with her; five, her prosperity must involve her neighbors; and finally, she needs the spirit of faith in pouring the oil in the borrowed vessels. What she had was sufficient to solve her problem and sustain her and her son afterwards.
The miracle of this widow was delayed due to her ignorance. She had a pot of oil which she thought that was not useful, yet it was the source of her financial emancipation. There are several endowments of God that bear our future, but we neglect them. This widow thought that Elisha would pray for her or help her materially, but Elisha helped the woman from what she had. He helped the woman from the woman. God doesn’t determine people’s destiny without them. He doesn’t raise men from outside them. The ability of God inside of us is always greater than any challenge that we might face. We must not neglect whatever endowment that God has given us to manifest us. The ability of God in Aholiab and Bezaleel introduced them to Moses and God. God recommended Aholiab and Bezaleel to Moses because His ability in them had revealed them. God is mindful of His abilities in us but doesn’t use us until we discover and mine such abilities. God defines who we are in the light of such ability, because it is through such ability that we relate with the earth.
