THE LEVIATHAN
INTRODUCTION
The Leviathan is a large sea monster that is twisted and coiled. It is a piercing and crooked serpent that will be slain with the sore and great sword of God. From apocalyptic insight, the destiny of this sea monster is already predicted. God’s word doesn’t fail. He stands beside whatever He says to bring it to pass. The Leviathan is a monstrous dragon that lives in the depth of the sea. He is a perpetrator of villainy and tyranny. The body of the Leviathan, especially his eyes, possesses great illuminating power. This dragon is a king over all the children of pride. The Leviathan is very tyrannical and oppressive. He has a controlling and dominating nature. He is a father of all arrogant and stubborn children. This dragon that sits at the centre of the sea terrorizes all other sea creatures.
The Leviathan is a symbol of anything that is monstrous, gigantic and extremely wicked. He represents corruption and enmity. He also represents an ideological spirit that mangles the mental intelligence of men. The Leviathan represents falsehood and everything that must not be trusted. The Leviathan is a symbol of deception and fear. The spirit of the Leviathan is an ideological spirit that depends on ideas to establish the will of satan on earth. The sword that God will use to cut off the Leviathan is also symbolic. It represents the revealed word that God must depend on to exterminate satan out of the earth. When the spirit of the Leviathan creeps into the church, it damages both the spiritual and mental/imaginative eyes of saints. It also represents the god of this world that has the primary purpose of blinding the eyes of the elect saints. God will destroy the Leviathan – the piercing and crooked serpent.
While the Leviathan is a sea monster, the Behemoth is a land monster. There is also an air monster. The Leviathan dwell sin the abyss of the sea but the Behemoth occupies with its breast the heart of the earth. The air monster uses the power of the air to control all children of disobedience. The tripartite, all-encompassing dominion of these monsters is why God will destroy them. God will utterly destroy them because they devalue the souls of men who are created in God’s image and likeness. The ultimate desire of the Leviathan is to destroy the eternal destiny of men by corrupting their imaginative minds. The strength of the Behemoth is in his loins and his force in the navel of his belly. The bones of the Behemoth are as strong as pieces of brass and bars of iron. God is angry with Behemoth and He will waste the Leviathan.
