Satan achieves more as a serpent (that is an animal of wisdom) than as a dragon (that is an animal of strength). Wisdom is far more important than strength. The horn of power is a product of wisdom. The reason foolish people don’t make reasonable impacts on earth is because the foundation of the earth was laid on wisdom. Because wisdom is everything to God, those who reject wisdom hate God. The earth is a fallen sphere shrouded in wickedness. Therefore, we need wisdom to stay protected.

However, whatever thrived on earth had its source in wisdom. The horned power that accomplishes all manners of wonders in the life of man has its source in wisdom. Wisdom has both the life and favour of God. Any foundation that is laid on wisdom will protect itself. Wisdom is a hiding place for all who desire to be protected by God. It was possible for Jesus Christ to accomplish His controversial messianic ministry because He was an embodiment of wisdom. What God will achieve through us is controlled by what wisdom achieves in us.
The reason Jesus didn’t make any personal effort to change Judas Iscariot was because He knew that things should be used the way they are. Satan succeeded in deceiving Eve because he used the right animal for its suitable purpose. Everything is made perfect in the way it is. Snakes are not ignorant; they are animals that function wisely. It is the way we are that determines what God accomplishes through us. Discovering who you are and why you were created with your uniqueness is a great accomplishment. Discovering the way you are wired empowers you to know those you need and others that need you. One of the greatest forms of wisdom is the wisdom that recognizes the uniqueness of things.
Wisdom is a notable quality of serpents. Serpents build their lives and destinies on wisdom. The acts of wisdom connect serpents to God. It is through the acts of wisdom that serpents are preserved. Through the acts of wisdom, peculiarities of serpents are revealed. Every successful journey starts and ends in wisdom.
The Jews crucified Jesus because God manifested a lot of wisdom in not allowing Jesus’ messianism to be revealed to ordinary eyes. Tortuous paths must not be unveiled to simple hearts. Great secrets lose their power when they are accessed by unworthy lives. Having the ability to follow twisted paths to the top is the capital virtue that separates the great from others. All twisted paths are hidden paths.

More so, we need patience to travel with a wise animal that follows twisted paths. It is only those who know what they are looking for that know where they can find it. Being highly sensitive and knowing what to do per time will grant us safety in twisted paths. The invisible paths that lead to important places are serpentine paths. Ignorant men who travel constantly on straight roads will always be wounded. Every environment is designed to protect its inhabitants. Serpents are very wise in taking advantage of their environment. Serpents are very observant. They prefer safety to comfort. Because serpents are hated by men, they hide themselves. Being very observant empowers them to stay safe in this evil world. When David discovered that King Saul was envious of him, he behaved himself wisely. No matter how harsh and unfriendly a particular environment is, we can adapt to it if we learn to behave ourselves wisely.
