THINKING WITH REV. CHRIS CHRISTIAN VOL. 7
CHAPTER ONE
If you are meant for honor, it must expose you to strong battles. Every man is destined to win a particular battle. You are to win your battle, not all battles. Some people meddle in unnecessary battles because they don’t know what they should be doing their life. If you know what your life is truly about, you will not waste time fighting all battles. The major enemy of David was Goliath. Before Goliath, David had killed a lion and a bear, but they didn’t announce him. The moment he killed Goliath; he was announced. When Jesus came to start the church, He couldn’t start until He had conquered the major enemies, which were death and satan. The first enemy to pray against is the enemy that makes you scatter your energy on wrong battles. All poor people scatter their energies. But great people always reserve their energies for a particular battle. When God was about to send Moses to Egypt, His focus was on Pharaoh, even though there were other enemies in Egypt. Moses met some magicians around the throne of Egypt, but they were servants of Pharaoh and not the main focus.
Divinity abhors confusion. Poor people are always distracted. All developed societies prosper on the value of their land. Religion is a servant of ordinance. God cannot be found in religious places; but in relevant places. God is a Spirit of relevance, not religion. This is why God does not focus on the church, He pays attention to lands because every church is built on a land. A church can only be built on the value of what lands produce. You can only win your enemy with what you produce within. Each time you stand before an enemy, your value will be weighed. Even if God wants to help you, He can only do so through your value. God will never fight your enemy directly. In the testimony David gave before he killed Goliath, the Bible didn’t say that it was God that killed a lion and bear: it was the proven sling of David that killed the lion and bear not God.
