INTRODUCTION

The greatest encounter on earth is a born twice experience that produces a new creature from an existing self. The new selves which men produce from their old selves are what preserve the old selves. God lives in our new selves to preserve the old selves. The old self is doomed; it is made subject to sorrow, pain, groaning, tears and death. Except we produce a new self, God will not preserve us. The new self is the only hiding place of the old self. It is wrong for us to seek protection from God when we have not produced new selves.

The man Jesus had victory over death and satan from His hiding place in Christ. Christ is the new self of Jesus that represents His eternity. To produce Christ was the greatest thing Jesus achieved on earth. The new self of every man is the dwelling place of God in the man. It is wrong for men to separate themselves from whatever they desire God to achieve in their lives. Whatever will attract God to a man must be produced by the man. The messianism that Jesus accomplished was the messianism of Christ; it was the messianism of His new birth.

Jesus Christ came to the earth purposely to make us new creatures. He didn’t come to modify our old selves. No matter how the old self is modified through personal resolution and determination, it will not be accepted by God. Change of character is different from new birth. The old selves of men are their carnal selves. It is the part of man that can’t please God. The Adamic nature is a fallen and doomed nature. Satan can’t be separated from the old selves of men. Every old self is a dissolvable nature. The destiny of the old self doesn’t change irrespective of how it is modified.

The fallen nature is not the temple of God. It is the new nature we produce from the existing self that God inhabits. There is no tangible relationship between God and a fallen man. Whatever men produce must look like them. It is wrong to call an old self that is made subject to diseases, pain, sorrow and death the temple of God. The feeble old nature can house the Omnipotence of God. The new creature is the spiritual body where God dwells.

Those who desire to meet God must depend on the opportunity that rebirth provides to first meet with themselves. Men meet with God through a process of rebirth. The inward movement that united Jesus with Christ was what made Him the King of kings and Lord of lords. When this oneness was accomplished, the humanity of Jesus put on the divinity of Christ. The spiritual enlightenment that made Jesus the Son of God actually emanated from this oneness.

However, rebirth involves the inward movement of the outward man to unite with the inward man. This precious movement which introduces the outward man to both God and himself also preserves the real man. Those who are bereaved of this rich experience are forcefully subjected to death. Death which is primarily the loss of the flesh can’t be avoided if the outward man doesn’t fuse compatibly with the real man. Spiritual blindness which doesn’t allow this rich experience to take place is the main cause of death. All flesh will remain as grass except corruption puts on incorruption.

Each time God desires to reveal Himself on earth, He causes the outward man to unite with the inward man. It is the perfect uniting of the outward man with the inward man that reveals God. There is nothing a man can achieve on earth that is superior to uniting with his true self. Wherever there is birth, there is also death. It was spiritual transformation and enlightenment that made Jesus ready for crucifixion. Rebirth can only be achieved by those who want to lose their lives. Taking things from God without losing what they should lose will always lead men to physical death. Jesus conquered death and satan because He lost His life when He took the life of Christ. There is no immortality without death. All who desire to preserve their life must first lose it. The selfishness and myopia that encourages avarice is what both attracts and sustains death. Humanity can’t mingle with divinity except there is death. Those who are redeemed by the Lamb must be buy into the thought of the Lion of Judah to be part of rapture. The values of our lives speak in all that we make out of them. The spiritual depreciation and mental degradation which leads to loss of value and sometimes attract death occurs when the needed rebirth is carelessly avoided.

There is no blessing that can be compared with the conversion that rebirth achieves in people. Rebirth provides the opportunity for God to raise beggars from dunghills. Nothing remains the same when the dark soul of a man is transformed. It was rebirth that produced the King of kings and Lord of lords from a village Carpenter. Through the process of rebirth, men conquer family limitations. Rebirth provides endless opportunities for men to achieve the unbelievable. When rebirth clothed the man Jesus with the divinity of Christ, He became a mystery. Becoming a mystery is the greatest advantage Jesus has over satan. If we must not be subjected to the limitation of time, we must give ourselves totally to the timeless rebirth of immortality. What we are becoming will always be far more important than who we are.
