THE PAST IS UPON US
INTRODUCTION
You are not really different from the past. You are only an improved past. We are homogenous products of the past. We came from the past to live for it. There is always an Elijah in the face of John the Baptist. There will be a Lamb’s face on the face of the Lion of Judah. Whatever happened in the past will affect the future. The past is the guardian spirit of the future. Anybody who separates himself from the past has denied his future. We may not like a particular past but we can’t finish with it. There is nothing we can do about the past. Whatever happened in the past can’t be corrected. All who live from the past are expected to live for it. God forges our future with what the past provided for Him. Jesus manifested from the past to live for it. We all manifested from the past to live for it. What God will achieve in our lives is controlled by what the past provided for Him. The past encompasses the future to direct it. Whatever happened will influence what will happen. You are the way you are because of where you came from and who gave birth to you. Separating a man from the past is denying his life. The process that produces a new future from the past controls the life of God. How our past is represented is controlled by those who are in charge of our future. What will be has always been. Whatever is reigning today was made ready by the past. It is awesome that Judah came from the Old Testament, established the New Testament and is about to declare the third Testament. The past is not meant to be denied; it is meant to be improved. The source of our lives is far more important to God than the way we live the life. The past can’t denied because it is not meant to be denied. The past is the root that produces the future. It is also the root that bears the future. Because of how undeniable the past is, we must study history and the origin of things.
The God of every man is found in His root. Who we are will always connect us to where we came from. God will never separate what our root provided for Him from what He will make from us. Those who refuse to identify with their root can’t meet God. One of the most accurate ways to know where we will be is through looking at where we are coming from. Every root produces what looks like it. The destiny of every root is preserved by what it produces. The past and future are one; they live for themselves. What God will achieve in us is controlled by what He had achieved in our fathers. Jesus Christ has seven Spirits because He is an offshoot of Jesse. No matter how wonderful a particular past is, it still needs to be improved. The reason why John the Baptist came with the spirit and power of Elijah was to be united with the past. John came to fulfill the prophecy made concerning the return of Elijah. Although John is not Elijah, he couldn’t deny that past. The essence of the coming of the Lion of Judah is to improve the part of the Lamb of God. The work of redemption which the Lamb of God started needs to be consummated by the Lion of Judah. We are alive because people lived before us. The way the future can’t be separated from the past is how the past can’t also be separated from the future.
Abraham saw the days of Jesus and was glad. Abraham was watching Jesus because he couldn’t separate himself from the Galilean Messiah that represents his future. Moses and Elijah also went to Jesus because they were conscious of their future. The glory of every past is in being richly represented by a glorious future. We are homogenous products of the past. When Saul saw David go forth with zeal against Goliath, he inquired about the foundation of David from Abner. Saul knew that such unprecedented bravery had a source in a unique root. The great and courageous spirit in David emanated from his past. If you don’t like what the past provided for you, you should make sure you don’t reproduce it. Nothing happens on its own. Living our lives is preparing another person’s future. Every branch is a potential root. Today will be yesterday by tomorrow. Those of us who are fathers are also sons. We must not waste time in pointing accusing fingers to the past; we should endeavor to make a profitable use of all that the past has provided.
We were born to fulfill the desires of the past. Jesus Christ came to the earth because the past prepared for His coming. What the past calls us is what we are. What God will do for us is controlled by what the past provided for Him. The roots that produced us own us. The root is in us to control us. We are made by the root to fulfill its purpose. The messianism of Jesus Christ manifested to fulfill the promise God made to David and Judah. It is what the past provided for us that we must depend on to win life battles. Destinies are to be discovered and fulfilled, not chosen. The primary reason why I wrote this book is because of the light of its rich revelation. I know that fellowshipping with the deep insight of this book will catapult you to another level.
Make it a must-read.
