INTRODUCTION

Wounds will always be found on men who won great battles. On the cross where Jesus bruised the head of the serpent, His heel was also bruised by the serpent. All divine personalities are wounded. Because God is housed in fire, He will not dwell in the bodies of men who are not wounded by divinity. The humanity of Jesus was bruised to contain the divinity of Christ. Divinity can only mingle with a wounded humanity.

God depends on adversity to produce the best out of men. God accomplishes incredible things when we match adversity with tenacity. There is no situation that is tougher than man. Tough times don’t last but tough people do. The destiny of this season is waiting for strong and courageous people to declare it. Nothing great comes easily. Future is reserved for tenacious people. Life will always provide us with battles to fight and enemies to win. What we go through in life is not as important as our individual testimonies. Whatever happens to us is not as important as the way we respond to it.

Things are not always the way they first appear. It is possible to produce the positive from the negative when we are tenacious enough. God depends on tenacious people to transform nations. Darkness is the house of light but it would take tenacity to harvest it. God needs all we can provide for Him for everything He must achieve through us. No situation can be too ugly to be transformed in the face of audacious tenacity. Ugly situations will always produce favour if men choose to be tough. The pain that Jesus passed through to get ready for crucifixion was more excruciating than the crucifixion. When men lack the ability to see what God is showing them, they become their own devils. What God achieves through pain is more important to Him than the effect of the pain on men. The earth is too weak to resist tenacious people but too strong to submit to unstable minds.

I decided to write this devotional book because there is so much God must depend on adversity to achieve in our lives. Adversity reveals the contents of men. While fire beautifies gold, it consumes wood. Fire is needed to separate gold from wood. God weighs the strength of men through adversity. The excruciating pain Jesus passed through was what enabled Him to accomplish redemption. Surviving the numerous adversities that characterized His messianic life was what made Jesus the best man that ever lived. What men go through before they get to the place of honour is far more important than the place. Any life that has not been subjected to tests must not be trusted. Exposing men to glory without proper test endangers their lives.

This is one of the best books I have written from all I have experienced. I have gone through thick and thin processes just to be able to fit into all that God planned for me. I have suffered poverty, depravities, disappointments and neglects so as to be worthy of the future I was born to apprehend. Adversity is not satanic; it reveals the rich and gracious values in us. All the heroes of faith we love their experiences and virtues were introduced to us by adversities.

However, having a clear understanding of all that future holds for men makes them tenacious. Tough times are not as important as tough people. The way we relate with adversity determines how God will relate with us. Vision makes men tenacious. Those who are sure of what they see will always be empowered by it. While vision immortalizes men, adversity only lasts for a while. Dead men don’t fear adversity. We must learn to rejoice in adversity because of its reward. God clothes men with immortality through adversity.

It is wonderful to have durable and firm people who can create testimonies from very ugly situations. The destiny of every age is preserved by tenacious people. The dispensation of Grace and Truth was preserved through the toughness of Jesus Christ and His devoted apostles. That a man rose from the grave after He was crucified and buried will last forever in the minds of men. There are things that will not melt away when they are cast into fire. History will always remember tough people. Tough times will always separate tough people from weak minds.

There is nothing that can’t change if we remain firm. Crowns are made from durable metals and for durable heads. Durable heads are heads that have enough stamina to survive the strength of adversity. What the fire of adversity makes out of men is more precious than the gold that perishes. Tough people will always enjoy the support of God. Nobody loses his life twice. When Esther decided to die for the cause of the Jews in Shushan, her life was preserved. Jesus took back His life when He laid it down. Tenacity provokes fearlessness in men. God will never separate Himself from the resolution of tenacious people. The presence of God is preserved through tenacious people. It is only through audacious tenacity that the destiny of God can be established on earth.

You need the light and encouragement of this book in this time of great tribulation and challenges. Those God must depend on to declare the destiny of this dispensation will be grossly opposed. We must not forget that whatever obstructs our way is not as important as our determination to proceed. If you are willing to make an outstanding impact in this precarious age, this book is for you.
