Over the years, I have witnessed the catastrophic collapse of so many gigantic buildings in Lagos where I live. Both the State and Federal governments have applied strict measures to curtail this menace but were not successful. I have also witnessed the collapse of both small businesses and first class industries. A lot of ministries and churches that were prayerfully started have also disappeared.
The unbridled collapse of things that men invested so much energy and skill to build was what prompted the writing of this book. Nothing happens for nothing. To every action, there is equal and opposite reactions. The life, preservation and destiny of every building are in its foundation. There are lots of casualties in life and ministry today because people are building on chaff foundations that can’t protect or uphold their building. The foundation of every building determines how long the building will last. It also determines the measure of load the building can carry.
The New Testament Church has not only survived the onslaughts of darkness but has thrived amazingly because of the Rock of eternal revelation upon which it was built. The way we are built is meant to determine what God will use us to build. What God achieves in men will always control what He achieves through them. Because the foundation of what men build must be tested, men need to be mindful of how they build. God identifies men with whatever they build because He is identified with whatever He builds. Everything God has and desires to protect must be hidden in revelation. Revelation is an eternal rock upon which the Church was built. It is also a key that has the life of the kingdom of heaven. It was the revelation that Lucifer accessed that empowered him to swindle one-third of the stars of heaven.
Apart from being mindful of the way we build our ministries, we also need to be mindful of how we build our personal lives. If satan checked the stuff the life of Jesus was made of, I don’t think he will be afraid of us. The reason why the notorious government of satan has been sustained on earth is because it was made from twisted truths. Because God is an embodiment of revelation, everything that comes out of Him is made from revelations. God invests a lot of strength in hiding things. Whatever has prevailed time was hidden in itself. Heaven, the dwelling place of God is not far but is hidden. God protects things where they are hidden. Revelation is the only hiding place God provides for believers. God is veiled in secrets. Things that are important to God are always hidden in mysteries. Revelation must provide a covering for us if God must protect us.
The best way to build every formidable foundation is to hide it. Revelation confuses the devil. Satan finds it impossible to attack things that he doesn’t understand. Whatever is a mystery has power to protect itself. Every successful life and ministry was built according to pattern. Life and ministry are preserved in their patterns. The incarnate Christ built the man Jesus so that He could use Him to build the Church. Building the man Jesus was far more important than building the Church because it was what Christ achieved in Jesus that He depended on to build the Church. It was what Christ the Word of God made out of the man Jesus that He depended on to build the Church. Those that are built by the word of God will also be sustained by the same.
