ANOINTING IS THE FRUIT OF LIFE

INTRODUCTION

Life is far more important than whatever it produces. It is the nature of a life that determines what it produces. Anointing which is the fruit of life reveals both the nature and the value of life. The fruit of every tree reveals the nature of the tree. Good trees will never produce corrupt fruits and corrupt trees will never produce good fruits. The emphasis should not be on anointing but on the practical life of the anointed. Character is the closest thing to destiny. In fact, there is nothing between character and destiny. The anointing of men is sustained by their character. Satan is not embarrassed by the anointing of men; after all, he is also anointed. While character connects us to God, anointing connects us to those that need it. The character of every man is the man. There is nothing we have that can be as valuable as our character. It is our character that determines how God relates with us. Except character reveals the source of an anointing, we can’t trust it.

I decided to write this book because values of men should be on their character rather than on anointing. God didn’t put the crown of oil on Jesus until His head became the head of Christ. It is not possible for someone who is not uniquely consecrated to be heavily anointed. The greatest activity of the Holy Spirit is to produce the nature of Christ from believers. The unbreakable fellowship Jesus had with the visionary Christ pulled Him out of everything that should not be part of Him. What we do with our lives is not as important as what happened in us. What we can’t choose will always control the things we can choose. One of the ways to identify agents of satan is through lack of godly character. We must willingly avoid the greed that inspires people to covenant their souls to satan. It was the fruit of the Spirit of Christ that established the anointing of God upon Jesus. God can visit us when we call upon Him but if He has to live in us, we should look like Him.

Jesus was successful in His controversial messianic ministry because He prioritized the character of Christ. Because He knew that the assignment will be accomplished by the anointing of Christ, He got the life first. The anointing of God was meant for Jesus who is Christ, not Jesus the native man. The anointing is not as important as the character that has our life. It was the life and character of Christ that made Jesus the Son of God.

However, the vessel upon which oil is poured is far more important than the oil. Seeking anointing when we have not produced the vessel of character is very precarious. What we do for ourselves is far more important than all we want God to do for us. All lasting relationships are established on exchange. We have to lose something to God if we must take whatever God is giving us. Jesus lost His humanity to the divinity of Christ before He was anointed. The anointing remains on Jesus because He has the life of Christ. To produce the vessel where the anointing is poured is laborious and time-consuming but that is the most important thing a man can achieve in life.

Lucifer is preserved because the anointing rested on his covering. The anointing on Lucifer is not as important as his covering. The fire of God’s anointing subjects naked men to death and destruction. So many anointed men are wounded by the anointing because they are naked. The vessel upon which oil is poured is far more important than the oil. The oil is evaluated and preserved by the vessel.

Who we are should determine what we are becoming. The most gainful way to invest our lives is to lose it to the only destiny we have. Those who lose their lives to their destinies are preserved by them. The man Jesus will be remembered and worshipped forever because He lost His life to Christ. If anointing is the fruit of men’s lives, it is who we are that determines the anointing we receive. The developed character of Jesus was the vessel upon which the anointing of Christ was poured. Because the anointing originally belongs to Jesus, He had to make deliberate effort to develop a character container that can preserve those who hide themselves in their developed character.

Much can’t be achieved without the anointing. The anointing is a kingdom tool through which the will of God is accomplished on earth. God reveals His arm to the earth through the anointed. We can’t function for God without the anointing. The anointing represents the riches of God’s glory and presence. Whatever is possible with God can be accomplished on earth through the tool of God’s oil. The price we pay to make our vessels available for God’s anointing represents our human value. Anointing is a valuable treasure God shares with men each time He desires to enhance their values.

The essence of writing this inspiring book is to encourage all believers to do first things first. Those who desire the anointing must first provide the vessel where the oil will be poured.
