LAY UP YOUR TREASURES IN HEAVEN
INTRODUCTION
I give God all the glory for the divine visitation that birthed this book. I owe God praise for all I wrote in this book. This is a book of testimony and eternal gratitude. It is a privilege of my life to be used to write a revelation I cannot really own. Before the particular Spirit of truth that unveiled this revelation came to me, my personal interpretation of that scripture in Mathew Chapter 6 was different. Reading this book will usher you into dinner with the eternal truth of this revelation.
God hides important revelation for us so that we can be crowned through it. He establishes deep relationship with elect-saints through all that He reveals to them. Whatever we get from outside cannot be as precious as what we make out of ourselves. Mining the unique treasures hidden in us is what separates us from others. The most valuable treasure of every man is the life of the man. What we make out of our lives is what determines how we relate with our environment. There is treasure in every earthen vessel. It is the kind of treasure we have that determines where we lay it up.
While I studied the verses of the scriptures that inspired me to write this book, the Lord revealed to me that the life of every man is in God’s treasure in the man. How every man relates with the treasure of God in him is meant to control how God looks at him. Christ was the treasure of God in the man Jesus. The house not made with hands which is eternal in heaven has the weight of God’s glory in the man Jesus. Jesus took everything that was meant for Him when He was clothed with the indwelling Christ. In harvesting the spiritual kingdom in Christ, the man Jesus laid up His treasure in heaven. The mingling of His humanity with the divinity of Christ was the greatest assignment of the man Jesus.
People are misled when they think of what they will invest their lives on without first of all harvesting themselves. When men store their lives in the living light of God, they save it. The reason why we must be careful about where we lay up our treasure is because treasures are susceptible to corruption and rust. Thieves can also steal unprotected treasures. When Jesus hid Himself in Christ, He saved His life. Hiding Himself in the stronghold ‘Christ’ was why the man Jesus conquered death. Whatever needs to be protected must first of all be hidden. The man Jesus could not invest His life until He harvested Christ. The process of transformation that revealed the indwelling Christ from the man Jesus is one of the richest experiences any living man can have. The only life we have is the one we are expected to live from ourselves. The man Jesus could only live His life when He harvested Christ. Until we harvest the second person of our thought, we might be living a life that is not ours. God is not God of men but God of gods. Until men become gods, they cannot relate deeply with God.
You need to beware of where you are laying up your treasures. God abandons men when they sit down on all that they are meant to produce from themselves. The assignment of every man waits for what the man can make out of himself. The man Jesus fulfilled His messianic ministry only when He harvested the indwelling Christ. What we are becoming is more important to God than whatever we want to achieve. Since the value of God on earth is introduced through what man makes out of himself, we do not need to abandon ourselves.
The book in your hand is encouraging you to harvest the divine value in you so that you can be protected by it.
