INTRODUCTION

Curses are contempt invoked on others from recognized covenant platforms. God can curse individual families or nations. Curses invoked on men by God can’t be reversed without Him and curses invoked on men by others can’t be reversed by spirits. A man of God has no right to reverse a curse placed on a child by his father without the approval of the man. This is why we must do everything possible to avoid grieving our source. It is the actions of men that sets platform for either blessings or curses. Curses are attracted and sustained by causes. It takes sinning and disobeying God’s instructions to attract divine curses. The sin of disobedience is more terrible than the sin of witchcraft; it removes the divine security support of God and diminishes values of men. Adam’s sin of disobedience was abrogated through the obedience of Jesus Christ.

Curses or misfortune can’t be invoked against the innocent. We must be watchful about how we live because someone’s sin can attract curses to another. Eve’s sin brought curse to Adam and mankind. We must avoid associating with cursed things, lives, families or lands. Accursed things annihilated Achan’s family, Canaan became cursed because of his father and the earth was cursed for Adam’s sake. We must not allow the devil to use us to extend his government to the earth by cursing people. We must end curses and stamp out all the problems it produces. Curses waste values of men and sustain evil in generational cycles. If Jesus Christ became a curse so as to redeem us from curses, why should the redeemed curse others? The destiny of the earth is improved as curses are lifted from it.
