UNDERSTANDING THE STRENGTH OF PRACTICAL HOLINESS
INTRODUCTION
The motivation I have to write this book emanated from my personal discovery on how important practical holiness is. The way this subject has been misunderstood in the midst of believers is the concern of this work of deep thought.
The concept of practical holiness is not a revelation that should be treated with kid’s glove. God identifies with the holy. His eternal support and protection is with the holy ones. He pays unique attention to men who separates themselves in holiness. The devil and his cohorts have no power over the lives of God’s people.
God’s people are holy people. Without holiness, it is impossible to see God. God can’t achieve much in the lives of defiled people. There is no security in corruption. Each time iniquity separate God from His people, they are exposes to shame.
Holiness is first of all what you see. It is who you are and what you are becoming. Holiness is what happened in us that must control what we do. If the thought of men bear their lives, holiness is also what we think and how we think. It is living the only life we have the way it should be lived. Because this concept is widely misunderstood in the circle of believers, the church had breeded a lot of hypocrites. It is wrong to separate our lives from how we live it.
Holiness is a spirit that must empower men to live right. We can’t neglect the quality of our lives and focus our attention on what we do and things we avoid. Is it really possible for people to neglect adequate fellowship with God and still want to stay pure? Can God fellowship with those who don’t really know Him? Can lives that are shrouded in darkness really be sanctified? The reason why these questions need answers is because of how poorly the concept of holiness has been interpreted.
Since it is the nature of every tree that controls the kind of fruits it bears, can a corrupt tree produce a good fruit? If the answer is no, then to what extent can people’s decision to change their lives take them? If this sensitive question is not answered correctly people might be persuaded to replace true holiness with religious abstinence.
A holy life is a spiritual life. Although what we do or avoid complements what we see, true holiness is a revelation. It is a genuine God-fearing life that is born out of deep fellowship with God. It is a life we live because of who we are and what we are becoming. It is also a life we live because we personally understood its gain.
It is not possible for people who didn’t meet God personally to live holy. In some circles people, they devote a lot of time on outward appearance when the inner man had not made tangible contact with the light of God’s revelation. Those who are born of God sins not, that is why the wicked one must not touch them.
The alienation sin introduces between God and His people is why we must avoid staining our garments. There is no intelligent sinner. There is nothing to admire in senseless living. The regular serpentine bite men are exposed to when they transgress the law of God is enough for us to align our lives to the will of God. Sin establishes relationship between sinners and satan. The authority that believers are meant to enjoy is denied when they corrupt themselves.
The book on practical holiness is a living spirit that is determined to take us to our covenant place in God.
Make it a must read.
