TAKING YOUR MINISTERIAL ASSIGNMENT IN STAGES

INTRODUCTION

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: (Ecclesiastes 3vs.1)

Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is always ready. (John 7vs.6)

Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. (John 16vs.7)

Time is a creation of God that prevents everything from happening at once. It is also a creation of God that determines when things happen. There is time for everything. Men like Jesus who accomplished great exploits on earth took their life assignment in stages. Taking our life’s assignment in stages averts mishaps and provides us with steps that will enable us to get to where we are going. Understanding what to do and when to do them attracts enduring success. Knowing when to run and the time to sit down brings men on top of their situation. The messianic ministry of Jesus achieved an eternal purpose because He allowed the nature of His assignment to determine His steps. For instance, for those in ministry, the time of growth and preparation should not be a time to seek power to do miracles and accomplish wonders. There is time for every purpose under the sun.

I have studied the unique messianic ministry of Jesus closely for about 30years. I have also paid attention to the unique assignments of great prophets like Moses and Elijah. The lessons I gleaned from their astounding achievements is what prompted the writing of this book. The surging measure of confusion and chaos that is going on in the Church particularly in the Pentecostal world also inspired me to write this book. It is wrong to seek manifestation when we should serve and be patient. People who are not properly raised and seasoned should not desire to wear the crown of oil. No wonder there is abortion of purposes and frustration among ministers. The most important time in any building is the foundation-laying time. What God will accomplish through us is controlled by the foundation we lay.

Make it a must read.
