THE OX FACE OF GOD
INTRODUCTION
God wears the face of the ox because of its peculiarity, usefulness and rich value. It is the relevance of this animal of labor that made it part of the sovereign governmental system of God. God reckons with the peculiarity and usefulness of things. Although other kingly animals like the lion and the eagle are before the throne, they couldn’t replace the burden-bearing value of the ox.
God will not wear the face of an animal that is not peculiar and relevant to Him. Peculiarity inspires dominion. The peculiarity and relevance of the ox makes it irreplaceable. The end time army is an ox army. The peculiarity of the ox like the other three beasts before the throne is in the power of its eyes and six wings. The ox is used for domestic purposes; an animal that carries load and is used for work. Oxen are male beasts castrated to boost their energy for domestic use and eventually be used as meat when their working hours are over. This makes this animal very useful. God identifies with the work and usefulness of men. We were all born to work. Our individual relationships with God is established on work. Men are seen as dead when they live without being productive. God sees indolent people as enemies. Lack of productivity sustains pain, misery and poverty in the lives of people. Those who work the work of God share in His glory and divinity. Working the work of God is being one with God. God reveals Himself to those that are captured with His vision. The worth of men in the sight of God is evaluated through the kind of work they do. Oxen are notable for their work and sacrifice. The ox is also useful in death. Most animals are only useful when they are alive but are useless in death because they can’t serve as meat. But the ox is useful when it is alive and even when it dies, people use it as meat. Jesus was useful while He was alive and also in death. Each time God wants to move us forward, He makes us to see work with a different eye and relate with work in a different way. The ox is the only animal that stays in God’s presence that can serve as meat. Lions, eagles and man are not edible. God doesn’t trifle with those that are useful to Him. It is wonderful to be irreplaceable. We must work and protect our peculiarity, value and relevance. It is peculiarity and relevance that is sustaining the name of Jesus. Jesus came to the earth with a life that couldn’t be taken. He had God’s kind of life. It is this particular life that made Him one with His Father. Jesus accomplished the work of Christ because He had the life of God.
If pain and neglect continue in the life of a man, then there is laziness and nonchalance. The ox is a visionary animal. Unlike lions, the ox is herbivorous. The ox works in partnership before the throne; it believes in the values of the other beasts. There is always someone to connect with. Jesus attended John’s baptism. God needed the four beasts around the throne to bear His chariot. The four beasts work in team with different values, different productivity strength and consciousness. You are alive because there are things only you can accomplish for God.
These four beasts before the throne always worship and as they worship, they receive worship. Whatever you keep giving, you will get. We must not trifle with an animal that is before God because of its nature and relevance. There is a part of God with the ox; there is another part with the eagle, there is yet another part with the lion and the last part is like a man. When these beasts manifest their values to complement one another, God will be in their midst.
However, the ox is the only animal for agrarian economy. The presence of the ox before the throne is one of the reasons God is very rich. The ox is a burden-bearing animal. Oxen are trained to work for a long time; they are animals of endurance.
The ox needed to be castrated to be before the throne. Castration wasn’t convenient but the throne will not tolerate an ox that is not castrated. People lose important things to be part of great places. We don’t stumble into great places; men follow known paths to great places.
I decided to make this throne-revealing book so as to open the gate of the heavenly throne to its readers.
Thank you for reading!
