INTRODUCTION

Calvary is the most powerful and useful place on earth. Its importance makes it indispensable irrespective of age, tribe or nation. The destiny of the earth runs on the eternal wheel of the cross. The altar of Calvary lives in my mind. I dream about it, think about it and have my existence from it. I will never forget Calvary where my Saviour died for me.

The cross of Calvary is the most powerful tool on earth. Its ability to connect heaven to the earth, link the past to the future and make all nations one in God is why we must daily celebrate it. The cross is the place of exchange where Jesus Christ laid down His life in exchange of the spiritual kingdom of God. At the cross, Jesus Christ invested His life when He laid it down. God supervised the death of His only begotten Son at the cross because like a shrewd businessman, He preferred what took the life of Jesus Christ to His life. The life of every living man will eventually be taken; what matters is what took each life. The greatest joy of my life is that I know what took my life and I work very hard on myself to lay down my life for what took it from the foundation of the world.

CALVARY – THE PLACE OF ULTIMATE SACIRIFICE

God crucified Jesus Christ before He was born. Throughout His life on earth, He was a living sacrifice. The crucifixion of Jesus Christ at the altar of the cross is the best thing that ever happened to mankind. God does not have any gift that is better than His Son. So if He gave us His only begotten Son, He can freely give us all things. The sacrifice of the Son of God established the ultimate power of God on earth. If you are a sincere lover of God’s power, you must not trifle with all that happened at the cross. Sacrifice has the power of omnipotence. There is no situation that will not be subdued when it comes in contact with the power of the cross.

THE CROSS HAS THE POWER OF OMNIPOTENCE

The opportunity to make sacrifice is the greatest privilege of every living man. It is wonderful to have something that God needs. There is no devaluation and death in sacrifice. Each time God wants to preserve the life and value of whatever that is important to Him, He sacrifices it. God loves His only begotten Son so much that was why He gainfully sacrificed Him. He sacrificed Him to preserve Him. I made myself a living sacrifice because I know that the only way I can preserve my life is in sacrificing it. At the heavenly throne, the slain Lamb is still standing because the power of sacrifice couldn’t allow Him to fall. The slain Lamb has not fallen because sacrifice prevented Him from death. Standing on the heavenly throne for about two thousand years is a sign that the life of the slain Lamb was not taken. He was slain but is still bleeding.

GOD ESTABLISHES HIS DESTINY ON EARTH THROUGH THE SACRIFICES OF MEN

The death of the Son of man on the cross established the destiny of the Son of God in the midst of men. The reason why sacrifice is very important is because that is the only means through which God establishes His destiny on earth. Each time God desires to have destiny on earth, it is sacrificial men that give it to Him. Every great thing that ever happened in heaven is attributed to the sacrifice of God. Those who smack at the opportunity to make tangible sacrifices will never be relevant in eternity.

RELATING REVERENTIALLY WITH CROSS

A lot of believers lack power for exploits because they find it difficult to articulate the strength of all that happened at the cross. We must learn to harvest all that Jesus paid for at the cross. There is nothing religious about sacrifice. All that Jesus paid for need to be harvested. It is wrong to allow death to keep reigning when Jesus had defeated Satan. Many people join one occult group or the other for power acquisition. There is no place more powerful than Calvary on earth. We all need the power of the cross to continuously subdue our enemies.

YOU NEED THE SYMBOL OF THE CROSS

Whether you want to hang it on your neck as a necklace or put it on your wrist as a symbol of protection, you need the cross. Some hang it on their family altar while others put it under their pillow. Whichever way you choose you need to know that the cross is a living altar. Jesus Christ is not dead; He lives on the altar of the cross. Each time you lift up the cross, Satan is greatly petrified.

I love the cross where my King made public ridicule of the last enemy. Those who cling tenaciously to the cross of Calvary are never defeated in any battle. The book “The Power of the Cross” is one of the greatest gift I have for you this year. In fact, it is my Birthday gift for you this year.
